Heat index values near 100 degrees expected along the coast. * WHERE...Eastern Monmouth, Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM Monday to 8 PM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures around 75 to 80 degrees and high humidity will not offer much relief from the heat at night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside.
